hi
6128. internal HXC (no floppy).
run"hxc works the firts time.
I;ve mounted a game into slot 1.
I've rebooted, CAT, then run it, works great
reboot.
But, CAT shows the game disk is still mounted.
so I cant run"hxc and mount another disk.
what am I doing wrong?
ta!

Re: 6128, Hxc internal - how to unmount a disk?
Ok, I can do that, thanks
However - I've actually got the HXC mounted inside (totally hidden inside) the 6128 so I cant push any buttons. I'd wanted to unmount via software.
Is there a way of mounting/ booting/ executing from disk without unmounting the "disk manager" (I'm using the on screen menu /host control software for the hxc https://hxc2001.com/floppy_drive_emulat ... eendisplay)
or another way to avoid this? hands off would be a lot better in this case.
I do not understand the nature of slots either - they dont do quite what I expect, now I've added autoboot.hfe into slot1 and other disks into slot 2 etc that doesnt do quite what a thought either.
Thanks all for any advice!
Iain

for the slots you need the push buttons too...iainjh wrote:Ok, I can do that, thanks

In your case you force the autoboot.hfe loading.
(config file attached)
So to run "hxc, just switch off and switch on the cpc.

thanks, now works perfectly without need to use the hard buttons or, therefore, the display
