Drive missing when using slots set from manager ????

Post by fkey »

Hi,

I have a problem when I use the emulator with slot functionality (files attached with manager from sd card run"HXC").
Manager works well and successfully attach files to slots; but when I try to use them; I always get a drive missing ...

I have a RevB board patched to RevC (added the SRAM) and I updated to latest firmware available (1.8.2.40).
I tried with manager 2.5 and 3.1 but same issue
I'm using a 6128 plus with emulator on drive B.

What is strange is that if I don't use the slot functionality, but navigate to attach a specific file from the sd card to drive B, then it works just fine and I can load it no problem...
Did I miss something ?

Before I was using the unpatched revB board with some outdatded firmware/manager, and this was working fine.

Thanks for help.

Hi Jeff,

The Emulator is connected one the second drive port (External plug)
Jumper setting is ID1/DriveB

I did some more tests this morning and it seems that if I set the Jumper setting to : ID1/Drive A then the slot functionality works.
I'll try tonight some more tests to confirm this.
(What is strange though, is that the autoboot works in both config : ID1/DriveB or ID1/DriveA)

Great piece of hardware by the way !

Hi,

So I confirm it.
If I set the jumper settings to ID1/Drive A, then the slot functionality works.
If I set it to ID1/Drive B, then "Disc missing" when accessing the drive.

That may be the correct behavior, if so, please apologies.
