DSK

Post by Samleth »

Hello and happy new year everyone!

My question is very simple (and dumb, sorry for that)
Can I read/write .DSK without converting them into .HFE or other format since the SLIM version?

I'm thinking to buy the SLIM for my 6128
"SD S Floppy Emulator SLIM - 34 pin connector"
because it will be inside the CPC instead the 3".

Or perhaps the sexy but (usesless for me)
"SD Floppy Emulator REV C GREEN LCD"
I believe you can read/write a .DSK with the "C".

Regards,
Samleth

The answer is simple : No.
All these "raw" format are just inadequate and totally unsecure (no way to detect any problem with the file or flash) for a standalone floppy emulation.
If you you don't want "convert" just take the usb version...

Thank you.
I'm going to buy the USB version.

PS:
I have a 464 too. I would love a new SD card system without the DD-1... (On this machine 8) I like to convert, even double convert!)
Never, in the future?
:)

I hope that you have read all the specs of this one.

So much trouble with the conversion ?!? Have you tried the software ?

Since "retro computers" peoples want something cheap/"for free", i will not start a new design for 10 or 30 units... No enough interest anymore from the "community" to make a viable solution ... You probably need here another charity worker
