Can this interface work with an IBM PC 3.5" floppy drive?

I need it in order to interface 3.5" floppy drive connection to a USB port.

I need to connect an older industrial machine which only has a floppy drive to a usb port in order to load designs easier.

I believe the drive is a laptop size drive, so I suppose I could use an adaptor to connect to your ribbon connector and then the other side would need to have a USB connector where I would either plug a USB cable or a wireless ethernet card. The end result is to go from the floppy connection in the machine to a usb cable connected directly to a PC or through wireless ethernet device.
