I just found out about the floppy drive emulator and find it quite exciting!
I only got this question: is it possible to save data within a program, e.g. save a song or an instrument in Aegis Sonix on an empty emulated disk in "DF1"?

Very nice! This is a great project and I will order at least one of these soon. I got an old casio sampler that would benefit from the HxC FD Emulator too...
