Write support for the Amiga (Firmware V1.3.0.0)

RE: Write support for the Amiga (Firmware V1.3.0.0)

I'm interested in the SDCard HxC Floppy Emulator. I have noticed that there is now the WRITE support for the Amiga...wow Great update for a great emulator. I would like to clarify the following prior to purchase:

If i buy the SDCard HxC Floppy Emulator, will it be possible to have the card updated (to Firmware V1.3.0.0) with the WRITE support including the new componenets on the emulator for the AMIGA 500? I can't imagine myself fiddling with components :)...i'm not technical at all.

Is the SDCard HxC Floppy Emulator compatable with an Amiga500 with a kick rom switcher having Kick rom 1.3 and 3.1?

Regards and congratz...

Keep up the good work

Carlo

Hello

(...............)

And yes, the HxC is perfectly compatible with this amiga 500, I have the amiga 600 with the same switch to select kickstart and works flawlessly :)

(Edited removing bad info).

So Lotharek, is it possible to upgrade it with the relevant components for me? How much will this cost?

carlcala: I've bought the components for less than 3€ total.

I hope tomorrow to upgrade mine :)

So you will be the first Amiga user with the write support ;-)

Please make a picture of the modification and post it.

Another try : remove the lcd screen and try to write somthing under the WorkBench.

Hi

Thanks for the fast answer.

I'm trying now to upload the images to a server. will post in a min.

I'm trying too, to upgrade (again) the bootrom (maybe I had an error the first time???) I've been using firmware 1300 without problems.

Trying to upgrade again the bootrom, I get an error of 5 flashes (corrupt archive). :? Maybe it's because I ALREADY have it installed...

The others cables in the pictures are for case I've made for it.

I'll try in the meanwhile to disconnect the display and try to write something.
No luck, without the screen, appears as saved in the disk, but after reboot, the disk is again blank.

Thanks!!

Try to reduce a little the wire lenght. The sram communication is done at high speed (10mhz).

You can connect pin 7 & 8 together. No need of 2 wires for VCC3V.

If still doesn't work try to remove R5.

If still doesn't work change the value of the resistors to 100ohms. (EDIT : Are you sure that you are using 220ohms resistors ?)

Many thanks for the tips.

I'll make the changes along the night and will post the results.

Thanks again!

Edit: yes the resistors are : red red brown
