Is it possible to disable the 'Card Inserted' and keep the 'floppy access activity' of the LED?

Or do I need to cut the traces to the LED and take a wire from the floppy connector directly to the LED?

No none I'm afraid. I now own a rev F so the Slim is in the drawer.

For which purpose do you want to change this ?
BTW the solution is quite easy : just reduce the standby time to its minimum into the cfg file.
