Hi,
My very old native 8088 only supports 5"25 360K IBM floppy drives. Is there a way to set the Gotex to this specific setting? I see that it is possible for 720k and 1.44M but not for the 360K neither for 1.22M.
Thanks!

Hi,
Install the HxC firmware first : https://hxc2001.com/store/index.html
And then you can use any format.

I have done that and copy a bootable 360 img with the correct naming. I can see the led but it doesn't boot and I get a 601 error from the BIOS. So either the Gotek is not recognize properly, either there is something else that is done correctly on my side.nstall the HxC firmware first : https://hxc2001.com/store/index.html

How behave the gotek green led ?
Re: Support for native 5"25 360K IBM PC reader
Update:
* When changing the cable plug for the cross one, no more 601 but still not working, green led blink and that's it
* in this case, I've created both .img with a DISKA and DISKB index 0
* and still same behavior
* When on the non cross part of the cable, the led doesn't blink and get 601 error
Note: it was working before with a 360 floppy disk reader. Unfortunately, the floppy disk reader died

So I made progress, plugged into the twisted cable, it does actually blink the green led. I finally managed to build a bootable disk with all what is needed thru the disk emulator with the right format
Now the door is open to recover the old hard drive and more fun in perspective as well!
