MPC60_Gotek USB Floppy (hxc flashed) FF80 & FF04 error

Post by beat-stick »

Hello swarm Intelligence,

i am a bloody newbie with my MPC60 that recently arrived and im trying to get the hXc flashed Gotek USB-floppy-emulator working.
Here the Information i got and what i already tried so far (i bought it with the emulator drive built in already but the seller got it from another one so unfortunately i dont have detailed info on firmware or model of the gotek drive):

When i turn on the MPC60 the 3-Digit Display of the gotek shows - "hX.c." and the Green light is permanently lit.

The usb stick i tried was formatted to fat32 and i put on the "indexed_mode" config file from "HXCFEUSB_HFE_beta_firmware/Config_Files" and a test image (DSKA0000.hfe).

When i try to Load the image it on the MPC it gives me the Error FF80 "There is no floppy disc in the drive."
When i try to Format the device on the MPC it get the Error FF04 "This disc is write protected. Reset the Disk's write protect tab and save again"

btw. i just found that the the green light turns of after i try to format the via the MPC

I also tried the "normal Mode" index file and also different usb sticks but i am helpless at the Moment.

Really hope you can help me out in any way,
thanks ahead
peace

https://hxc2001.com/docs/gotek-floppy-e ... oting.html (see "rib")

- Reconnect the floppy ribbon to the other way.
- Set the jumper to S0
- Update the firmware : https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_dri ... rmware.zip
-And use the MPC60 images present in this archive (use the indexed cfg file !):
