Gotek SFRC922D

Post by prodigy »

Hi, I bought a Gotek SFRC922D but when i short/solder J3 and the pin next to it to enter program mode - upon power up it's dead the LED doe's not light up. remove the link - it doe's.

Anyone know if they have changed the board pin layout?

You are on the HxC support forum. For the HxC firmware you need to use this tool :

https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_dri ... Bridge.zip

This video is showing you the process :

Hi Jeff,
I understand fully the process and I know how to install the correct firmware -

I had already downloaded and tested the software and it links up - and discovers the USB serial TTL device on com5 - The video was to show the pin configuration I'm using to put the board into programmer mode. (not the flashing process)

The Problem I am having is the goteck board will not power on when I jumper the two pins for programmer mode. So I can't flash the drive if it wont power on - to repeat my question - is this revision board SFRC922D different ? Any idea why it won't power on?

This is normal : In programming mode, the led and the display are off.

ok so I got it to flash - and the drive now says -ldr- Great

on the first attempt I did have a major problem - i got the blue screen of death - at 49/100 similar to the guy in this thread
http://torlus.com/floppy/forum/viewtopi ... =33&t=2025

I'm running Win7 64 bit

how I got round it was:
right clicked on SecSerialBridge.exe chose compatibility tab

selected run this program in compatibility mode and chose Windows Xp (service pack 3)

I ticked disable display scaling on DPI settings

Then ticked Privilege level - run as administrator

Hope this helps someone else.

If anyone could be kind enough to point me to info on how to pre-pair a usb stick to work with and Ensoniq EPS 16+
I'd be grateful as this would save me some hours researching

many thanks :D

Note : For an Gotek without LCD/OLed screen : Rename the HFE files like this : DSKA0000.HFE, DSKA0001.HFE, DSKA0002.HFE... and use the indexed HXCSDFE.CFG file present into the firmware archive.
