Roland G-800 and Gotek (HxC)

Post by supermario »

I flashed my gotek sfrc922d with HxC bootloader and installed last firmware (HXCFEUSB_V3_1_23_1a), to use it on my Roland G-800.

But unfortunately the Roland doesn’t recognise it. The gotek’s LED's shows "nor", see pic.
I tried to play with the jumpers, S1,S0,MO also tried several System family and Interface mode but still not working.
Any help would be appreciated

"Nor"= "Normal Mode"
Since you don't have any LCD or OLED screen you should use the indexed config file.

Use the indexed config file present into the firmware archive. In this mode the files images should be named DSKA0000.HFE (or .IMG).

For the G800 use the S950 pack present into this archive (unpack the S950 archive to the root of the usb stick and rename the file "HXCSDFE.CFG-indexed" to HXCSDFE.CFG

https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_driv ... Images.zip

On the G800 reformat the image and then you should be able to use it.

Btw could you send me some G800 formatted HFE files to hxc2001 (at) hxc2001.com ?
