Buzzer for Gotek

Post by elluigi »

Hello,

As describe in the README_USAGE.TXT :

-----------------------
- Buzzer sound output -
-----------------------

You can connect a piezo or a magnetic buzzer to the JB jumper position.
A transistor is needed for the magnetic version.
The sound output can be disabled or enabled into the selector settings.
(Note : Please remove these old sound mod using directly the floppy step signal, they are producing reliability problems...)

Is that "Buzzer 30V 13x2.5mm Piezo Passive Buzzer" good for the gotek connecting to the JB position WITHOUT transistor ? :?:

If this item was not good, do you have a reference that i could buy without needing a resistance ? :D

THX for your response.

Yes this one can be connected directly. But i am not sure if the the sound output power is enough.

OK merci.

Should the buzzer be an active or a passive one?

Hi did you test those buzzers you bought above? :)

I found this good video, which explain how to install this and I ordered 10 of those due to that the guy mentioned, that it should work for HxC flashed devices too. It really makes me mad with this “silence” :D
