Tajima 720K
Tajima 720K
Happy to share this information.
I successfully replaced the 720K DD FDD with a Gotek, flashed with the HxC firmware, on my embroidery machine.
If someone wants this, I can take some photos. Machine itself is some Bulgarian copy of Brother (I guess).

Re: Tajima 720K
I'll be happy to share, but due forum's limitations I can't. In the attached rar archive are one hfe file with few designs and the cfg file. Connection to the 8272 controller card is with a straight cable and the jumper is on the second position.
Jeff, write me to my e-mail and I'll send back to you all desired information, as pictures, dumps, etc.
Also I'd like to discuss with you the ZSK floppy format, which is still not supported by you, but is very usable in embroidery machines.

Re: Tajima 720K
Interesting about the Tajima.
I own a ZSK embroidery machine and I had hoped someone had a working firmware so we could program the gotek drive with it. I was under the impression that they shared the same FM structure with Tajima and others.
Luckily so far, I've managed to create working images/floppies with the SuperCard Pro (IBM 1.44MB / Index Mode) so that is a good step I guess.
Can I do anything to help in the process of the ZSK Format ?
Thanks in advance,

Re: Tajima 720K
Just import the SCP file into the HxC Software and export it to HFE, this should be enough to make the HxC Emulator working with the ZSK.
If you want, share the SCP file i will check/analyse it.
EDIT : FYI we already have some customers using the HxC emulators with ZSK machines.

Re: Tajima 720K
That is great! I'll test it out and report back!
Thanks Jeff!
Thanks Jeff!
Re: Tajima 720K
I'll also email you 2 SCP files. One from a formated disk (empty) and one from the bootloader of the ZSK Machine.
Re: Tajima 720K
Nothing received. probably too big.
Please send me an "empty" email i will send you an ftp server login to push the files.
Re: Tajima 720K
Your SCP image is perfect. I sent to you the HFE file generated from this SCP file ready to be used with the HxC Floppy Emulators devices (Legacy or Gotek Hardware).
Re: Tajima 720K
Thanks Jeff!!
So I only have to buy the HxC firmaware, program my Gotek with it and then use the HFE file you created, correct ?
