Korg T3 data error

Post by T3_user »

Hello
I am trying to make the Korg T3 work with the Gotek and Hxc firmware, not sure if this is possible
My first question is: what are the correct settings for the jumpers? i am using only the S0 jumper ON
my next question: it is normal for that the USB memory LED flashes all the time? even when you are not doing anything yet on the T3 it never stop flashing
and the main problem: when i try to load or save data to the USB always end with data error
Im using the original flat cable that i tested with a multimeter and looks ok
I made all the steps to convert the floppy images to the hfe format using the software from jeff
if you can help me thanks in advance

Hi T3_user,

I can see that this is your first post on this forum, welcome ;)

Your jumper setting (S0) is correct due to the notes on official status list under Korg T3.
https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_dri ... upport.htm

the LED light react different from machine to machine.

What steps did you make to create those .HFE files with the HxC Floppy Emulator? (Maybe you can attach a .zip file with your .config and .HFE file?)
• Note: There is already made predefined raw format for Korg T3. You can use the picture (here) (Instead of choosing Roland s-330, then choose Korg T3) ;)

You can use this link below in your “root cause” searching:

Hi teevee
Thank you for answering
The steps taken are reading original floppy disks with omniflop and save an image of this disk
and then with the floppy emulator software load a raw image selecting the image created with omniflop and exporting to hfe
i don't think i have selected the Korg T3 format before, so i made some new test with this information
and now it works in reading all data the display shows completed but when you save it gives the data error
i will prepare another USB memory and make more tests.
thank you very much for your help.

and another after saving all data to disk, may be of use to someone

Hello. I wish if you could help me.
This is my configuration, with a Gotek SFR1M44-U100K installe din my KORG T3 ex:
- Jumper setting S0
- Reversed floppy cable
- When I power on the T3ex, with both Gotek switches pulsed, it displays this sequence:
001
126
F01

When I insert a USB key, sometimes it creates automatically the partitions, in other cases I have to pulse both switches to create them.

In either case I cannot format or save data in any partition.

Could you help?

Thanks

It seems that you don't have the HxC firmware into this gotek according to the display ?

Hello again Jeff,

Thanks for your help.
I am back the Gotek issue after two weeks off.
I have found a very clear explanation about the installation in YouTube:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-K31S2xqzIk

in this case the author is using ST flasher.

I wonder which one will be best for my KORG T3: hxc or ST.

Thanks in advance,
Feder

You are on the HxC Floppy Emulator support forum.
Get an SD HxC or at least an HxC firmware and you will have all the support you want regarding these products, but don't expect that i support any others products, i already have enough work with mines

So the starting point is there :
https://hxc2001.com/store

Or there :
http://lotharek.pl

Thanks !

Understand. Sorry for the question. I am totally new about this... I need to investigate and learn more. I am just a musician.

Anyway, thanks for your time and sorry again.

Hello,
I am back again. I bought your software this morning and everything is ready and connected.

However after entering server, login and password the status bar says " No response from device".

I have tried to reset the device shortcutting the black pin "reset" with the white pin "ground" without connecting the serial adapter, but things get no better.

Please can you help, please?

Thanks

By the way, I am using Windows 10.

Leds and display in the Gotek do not shine when connected to the computer via the serial converter.

Thanks again.
