What sort of performance should I be expecting?
I've just tested on an old Windows XP machine (eventually I intend to use in an Amiga) with an old DOS boot disk converted to HFE format. It takes about 8 seconds to open the drive in my computer and 30 seconds to load autoexec.bat into notepad (less than 1k). That seems a bit slow to me.
Performance
Re: Performance
Same read performance as a floppy disk. XP is probably scanning the drive which slow down the access. Or you have maybe another issue...rab wrote:What sort of performance should I be expecting?
