Atari STe HxC manager looping and unresponsive

Hello,
I have a rather bizarre problem with my setup : when I boot to HxC manager, it reacts as if the down arrow was permanently pressed.

I tried everything I could think of but replace the drive.

• * The keyboard is fine, it behaves normally in any other situation
  * Impossible to go to settings or help by pressing the F* keys
  * CTRL-ALT-DEL still reboots the STE
  * re-updated the firmware and HcX manager to latest release
  * formatted the USB key
  * tried with fresh AUTOBOOT.HFE and CFG
  * tried another USB Key
  * tried the same usb key in another STE+Gotek+Hxc : no problem
  * tried 1.62 & 2.06 TOS

I really can't think of any change in my setup that would have caused this (the latest changes was external : hooking my SCART-HDMI to a capture card rather than to a monitor).

Any Idea ?

What about the joystick port ? Is the mouse connected to the right port ?

The mouse is plugged on the left, in the 0 port. But in the right port there was an extension cord I always suspected to be buggy. I unplugged it and was able to use the manager normally ! Thank you !
