Problem with STM32 Flasher

Post by skel2raw »

Hi,
no matter how often I tried, the STM32 Flasher program just won't show "device decteded" so that I can flash. It just shows "link is up".

However, if I flash the software from Harve Messenger with the STMicroelectronics Flash Loader Software it works right away without any problems.

Please advice on how to solve the problem.

Thx!

Status still stays at "Link is UP!. TX and RX are slowly counting up. Status for the serial port is "serial interface set to COM7".

both RX and TX ? Sure ?

COM7 is the usb serial interface ? Sure ?

Try to reset the device.

yep both, RX and TX are counting up simultaniously. And yes, COM7 is the usb serial interface, also a reset several times.

Which USB adapter did you use to make it work?

So is it the case that the STM32 flasher won't work with 64 bit windows 7 or is it dependent on the serial interface?

It work in windows 7, but some low cost usb serial adapter seems to have buggy driver for windows 7....
The same serial interface seems to work on windows XP and others serial interfaces work on both OS...

Thanks,

I bought a ttl flasher off of ebay with a pl2303 prolific chipset.

Turns out that it does work fine in windows 7 64 bit mode.

I've flashed 4 goteks now. (One goes in an emax 1, one may go into an rm1x, and then I have a couple DSS1s.)

The emax 1 one is working great.
