Solved this myself (solution below), but have a new problem - http://torlus.com/floppy/forum/viewtopi ... =17&t=1789
i am preparing to install my Gotek with HXC firmware in my ensoniq ASR 10...
i know it needs to be drive ID 0. do the jumpers have to change for this? or does it stay in place?
right now the jumper as it was when I got the gotek new. the jumper is on the second to bottom row titled "S1". i have not moved it but am not sure if i need to so that it will work right, or if i did the install wrong.
FYI - when I start the ASR 10 - it just tells me "Please Insert Disk"
Looks exactly like the attachment.
Do the Gotek jumpers do anything? help with Gotek/Ensoniq

Re: Do the Gotek jumpers do anything? help with Gotek/Ensoni
Nevermind, solved it myself, almost...
thought both "S0" and "M0" jumpers needed to be set, but i moved the single jumper to "M0" (the rightmost jumper setting in the picture below) and it booted up just fine...
so i screwed it all back together and got ready to take a pic and post it but then it just sat at the "please insert disk" screen ...
I flipped the cable upside down putting it back in
