And here it is :
Firmware + Converter with "ipf" support :

https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_driv ... _gotek.zip

Just convert them to the "HFE V3" format !

Still the flakey bits support to do, but a huge load of titles should already work !
:D

One question JEFF. Those ipf`s, which was converted into "HFE V3" format, then only work on the Gotek with the new firmware for Gotek, right? Is it possible from the hardware-side, that those files also work on the normal HxC with a new HxC-firmware?

sorry this is not possible on pic based devices.

Ah okay. That`s a little bit sad. Would have been a cool thing to have on the original HxC hardware.

Firmware and converter Update ! :
https://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_driv ... _gotek.zip

Fix IPF support for these games:
Jim Power
Z-Out
Xenon 2
Ghosts'n Goblins
Rainbow Islands
and probably some others !

+ Slot number printed on the second line during slot search with an LCD.

Note : You must reconvert your IPF files to HFEv3 (Use the batch converter to do this easily !).

Jeff, one question more. When this new "hfe rev3" format is not possible to work on pic-based hardware like the SD-HxC models, is then another solution planed for original HxC-users to rise the ipf-compatibility? I mean, exist any kind of other solution in this case or can nothing be done here?

This is an hardware limitation !
You can read on the hxc web site :

Code: Select all

(Note : Variable bitrate not supported. So protected floppy disk image (IPF and STX file format) file support will be only partial ! If you look for a device supporting IPF / STX please a have a look to the USB HxC Floppy Emulator device)

i have problem with Gotek Version.
My Test...
Garrision 2 is not 100% work Disk2 from IPF to HFE rev 3 Format.
Amiga load this Image and come Guru Meditation Software Failure.
I think convert from IPF to HFE rev3 is failed.

Captive is work and Savgame not work Disk.

Until now, everything I've tested is running.
I hope this give fix for HxC Software.
I use USB Gotek Emulator with Firmware v3.0.22.1a, HxC Software v2.1.7.0 and AUTOBOOT.HFE v1.49a.
thx

Best regards

hi Jeff,
Thanks for answer :).

You find IPF here.
http://filehorst.de/d/bDpbzcJl

Englisch Translate:
A short explanation about Captive Savedisk problem.
For Captive IPF I have created a rev 3 HFE file and then loaded on Amiga
For Savedisk I created under WinUAE an externed ADF and converted also in rev 3 HFE.
Am Amiga 1200 in the X-Copy formatted and again quickformat made.
The image is displayed as empty.
In Captive, you can still not save, because the game diskette must be specially formulated via the disk icon of Captive and then formatted, but unfortunately the problem is that he seems to be formatted and I have waited about 10 minutes. The power lamp of Amiga is on. But he does not do anything.
With WinUAE the externed ADF works without problems and it is finished in about 1 minute.

Sry had forgotten something to mention.
To format the floppy disk as soon as Captive has been loaded, right click on the floppy disk icon. Now click on Format or click on Save.
To load a score easily Left-click on the disk icon.
