Hi all,
I'm trying to replace the dying floppy drive in my Akai MPC60II with the HXC emulator. I've got the config file and some hfe images on my sd card, but when I power up the MPC the emulator beeps and quickly flashes through the files on the card on the lcd screen for a few seconds before a fuse (F2) blows and power is lost to the emulator. I had to dremel off the tab on the bottom of the power cable in order for it to fit the emulator but it doesn't appear it could even fit properly upside down. Help!
Thanks!
Joshua
MPC60II blowing fuses on power up
Re: MPC60II blowing fuses on power up
Sorry guys, I'm an idiot. I had the emulator resting on a metal surface which caused the power pins to be bridged.

No since this can be a common "accident", this message may be useful for other peoplejchiet wrote:Sorry guys, I'm an idiot. I had the emulator resting on a metal surface which caused the power pins to be bridged.

EDIT : Once working don't hesitate to make a picture and/or a video of the MPC60II working with the floppy emulator
