QuickInstall_FloppyDiskImages.zip

Post by deno »

Hello Jeff ,
i purchased a gotek usb floppy emulator , the seller meant in description its also pre configured for akai.
i got an akai s3200 without floppy drive.
i used the s1100 quick install images from HxC site and the s3200 can read the data but then the OS freezes all the time... :(
...may i ask for empty or loaded
s3200 QuickInstall Floppy Disk Images and mostly a config file ....
pls

i updated to last firmware...

best regards

EDIT
the s3200 can read s11oo samples and i thought maybe it works but when it comes to config file i guess i need a s3200 config file...
can i make one by myself ?

hello jeff,

unfortunately i still waiting for internal floppy drive from ebay to plug in my new old xp machine...so unfortunately i cant provide a disk dump from a s3200 mf2hd disk to hfe at this point...

but maybe i can try out the files you sent to the guy with s3000 http://torlus.com/floppy/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=984
maybe they do the trick cause s3200 and s3000 share same OS for sure and was build to same time i think...

regards

ps.
when we get this to work i will make video and up it on oneclick hoster for you...no problem..

Have you the S3200 OS image disk ? Which eprom version is installed into your akai ?

EDIT : According to the other experimentation you need to use the right OS for your gear. Example 3200 & 3200XL are incompatible :

http://torlus.com/floppy/forum/viewtopi ... 3&start=30

EDIT2: Is the OS disk really necessary on this machine to boot up it ?

I think you should try the others interface mode : remove the usb stick, press both buttons to enter the menu an try the PC 1.44MB interface mode.

Here is the internal menu description :

https://hxc2001.com/docs/gotek-floppy-e ... e_settings

Have you an lcd/oled screen on this gotek ?
