S950 + HXC: "OOPS! disk is write protected"

Hi all,

I followed this tuto: http://bitvoltage.com/mod-your-akai-s95 ... rd-reader/


When I try to format the sd card using the "format floppy" function I get the message "oops! disk is write protected etc..."

- I formatted the SD CARD to FAT32 (using win xp)

- I extracted all the files from SDHxCFE_Akai_S950 to the SD CARD

- I made sure that "S950 DD" is selected

- The red light at the front is fixed, not blinking.

- The floppy drive is working, I put it back on after and it worked again

quick update:

I set back the CFG Interface to "S950" HD and it seems to be working. Disk is recognized as full and a programm called "He liked" is already on it...?


It would be extremly helpfull if you could explain a bit in detail what all those HFE files are, how to use them etc...

seems to work now formatted once, saved once. when I start the sampler however he loads the last saved programm automatically without asking me
