Akai MPC 2000 Classic Floppy Disk Configuration

Post by audiax »

I have bought a MPC 2000 classic for about one month ago from ebay. Instead of an floppy drive there is a lotharek SDF Floppy Drive Emulator installed ( http://lotharek.pl/product.php?pid=120 ). I am really exited about this item. It makes work much easier.

Now i have two problems:

1. I got the SD-Card with the OS 1.72 and one blank disk, but i have got no description how i can create other blank disks. I already downloaded the hxc floppy software but i don't know how i should create a blank disk with the right settings. There is no exact description in the internet. Just for the SP950.

2. When i want to change the disk the MPC always says that there is no disk. I have to go into the Disk-Mode again and then the Disk is shown. What is wrong. It is no problem when i load samples or projects from one floppy, but when a project goes over 2 or more floppys i will have a problem. How can i solve this? Or is this normal?

I use Windows 7 if this is important.

Just duplicate the blank disk image on the sdcard.

So try to update your firmware.
