New computers - how to start ?

Post by feldti »

I would like to have support for Sharp MZ-800/MZ-80B and MZ3500 computers. I bought a HxC Floppy Drive Emulator and have base software images for CP/M system discs for these machines.

What do I have to do to convert these files into the HxC compatible format and where is the format documented ?

Hi,

First can you try to dump/read a floppy disk with the HxC
software and send me the HFE file ?

I tried to attach an old 5.25 drive to my PC, but it simply did not. The drives work on my old machines, but not at my newest PC.

But I have already file images of disk for these computers - done by other persons.

I looked into these files and the header begangs with

"EXTENDED CPC DSK File Disk-Info CPDRead v 3.2.4"

Therefore I beleive, that the emulators work with some kind of CPC format.
