Hello ,Jeff.

I have one question .
what is HFE2 format?
what is the difference from HFE format?
what point is improved ?
do you have any information like this document ?
http://hxc2001.free.fr/floppy_drive_emu ... format.pdf

I'm using HxC and HFE images under old Japanese PCs (like PC-88 , PC-98 and X68k)
In that situation , do you recommend that I use HFE2 format ?
thanks .

This format still in devellopment. i don't recommend to use it for the moment.
the improved point will be :
-> Flakey bits data support (for protected games)
-> Variable bitrate support (i have to check if i can do this with the actual hardware)
-> index timing included.
