Trick firmware results. Verify error on both and unreadable (I/O Error 2)
Interesting. the tracks are truncated and this shouldn't happen with this trick : 2 possibilities :

-> i failed with the trick.
or
-> the write pipeline this not completely flushed to the track.

will check this in some hours.

Hi, I dont plan to do any further traces as Jeff has the logic analyzer rigged up nicely. I will test any files and fw. :-)
Shout if you need me to trace anything on the analog scope.

Yes :) . In fact there is almost all the needed informations in the logic analyser dump file. We still have to resolve the short ready signal event mystery and maybe some do some comparisons with the gotek if the following firmware doesn't solve the last issue.

Checked and the trick was ok, but there was a bugs so attached a firmware fixing some timings issues related to the ready signal.

EDIT : Removed !

I'll see if I can find some time today to wire up the gotek for tracing.

All the last files are valid.
btw is there a "verify" function like in the x7000 ? : I mean a verify function that check the QD content ?

No, probably because it does that automatically after a save.

There is a "QD Monitor", but that only shows the contents (sample name) and which bank the disk belongs to. It doesn't actually verify the disk.

There is a confusingly named "Quick save without verification" but that only skips the overwrite check, not the verification.

False verify failure wouldn't be bad if the loads are always fine, but the problem is the S10 needs multiple disk(-sides) for all but the shortest sample, and it won't allow a disk change after a verify error.

Interesting thing in the last files : It appears that there was 2 writes attempts. But the first one appears quite late/shifted... Is it a features ? :) (In how many seconds do you get the verify error message ?)
(Waiting for the traces to confirm).
