Questions without answers....

Post by lotharek »

Hello everyone.

I just have received first NEGATIVE feedback at EBAY form user PARADISO. I wouldn`t post that information, but I`m really depressed with atitude of some customers. I know, people are different and sometimes i do not respond to mails immedietally, but that situation annoys me a little bit..

some history :

User has written :

"I had initialized 512MB SD card and put on it one text file and initialization file. I cannot open the text file with Windows Notepad text editor. I had also tried copying a small DOS program to the SD card and execute it by pushing middle button, but nothing happened. I can see my file names on the emulator's LCD screen, so I know it's not the SD card. My OS is Windows 2000. What am I doing wrong??"

Maybe my anwer in joke-style :

"hello,
simple: you didn`t read manual :-)"

wasn`t the proper one, but PEOPLE PLEASE , JEFF has spent few months to prepare manual for everybody, I spend long hours to make sure all sd emuls are properly assembled/testes/posted (instead of having fun with compound bow or XBOX) and situation when NATIVE SPEAKER doesn`t even try to read manual make my anwers rather "juicy".

So, my questions are :

- Do You think manual is complicated ?
- Do You think manual need more correction ?
- Do You think I (lotharek) do not support You guys ?

so, no more moaning, comments are most welcome to improve our product and it`s support/associated files (if needed..)

Lol , the guy think to have buy an SDCard Reader...

You should recommend this :
http://www.sandisk.com/products/readers ... -20-reader
;-)

Don't worry. I think that we can't do nothing against this kind of event.

EDIT: One thing maybe : Make forum / website / User manual links more visible on the ebay pages.

And send me the address email of this guy.

I believe you should contest the negative rating. IMO the best way is to phone an ebay representative and don't take no for an answer.

I regret not having done that in the past, when I got a negative.

I worked in customer care for some years and would like to suggest: Maybe a printed piece of paper in the box you send out could open the eyes of your ebay customers. Try this and add whatever you think is needed additionally:

Dear customer,
thank your for purchasing the floppy emulator!

Please read this website to learn how to use it:
https://hxc2001.com/floppy_drive_emulator/index.html

If you need more information, please have a look at the forum:
torlus.com/floppy/forum/index.php

If you still need more information, please do not hesitate to
register at the forum and post your questions there or send an
email to lotharek (address) or Jeff (address)

Have fun with your floppy emulator!

What do you think about that? A printed page will not cost a lot and it will answer most of the questions of your customers.

Best regards
Claudio

Totally agree. In fact i have already suggest this some months ago to Lotharek.
I think that some customers may be "lost" when they received the product.

I don't think the manual is complicated at all. I wish all pieces of gear I buy like this had this good documentation!
