I’ve purchased a Gotek floppy drive emulator.
I understand there are multiple sources for operating software for the drive?
I am using HxC2001.
I successfully flashed the boot loader.
I’ve also uploaded one of the files that was included with HxC download that I believe will accommodate common 5.25” drives with a FAT32 flash drive.
My goal is to replace one of my 5.25” drives on my CP/M 2.2 /Z80 computer.
I built the computer decades back and designed my own floppy format, so I have the data pertaining to
sides, sectors, tracks, etc.
At this point, I’m sort of lost.
I can find a lot of info about connecting the drive to a DOS computer, but I don’t want to do that.
I can make a physical ribbon cable connection to my CP/M computer as drive “B”.
(I could add the OLED display instead of the 7 segment display)
Can anyone instruct me on some first-steps.
What do I need to do so that I can PIP files from my A drive to the Gotek?
If someone could point me to a tutorial, I’d greatly appreciate it.
