Powering the HxC SD Emulator

Post by rwap »

Apart from having an open PC power supply on the side, what does everyone recommend for powering the HxC ?

The computer I am using it with does not have a 5V readily to hand to connect to!

You need a 5V regulated PSU able to deliver 500mA

You could use the power supply of one of those USB2IDE kits like this one and a harddisk power connector to floppy connector cable.

available many places.

Cut the 4-pin floppy power connector (along with a length of wire to use for connection!) and solder to the wires going to your power supply. Discard the large connectors, of course.
