I have independently gathered prototype under "the old" circuit (4 MC's of logic) and I have no desire and possibility to gain "the new version" device, having made an advance payment on system PayPal.
Jeff, it would be desirable that you would respond to pair questions:
1. Last firmware (11/05/2010: Firmware SD HxCFloppyEmulator v1.0.1.1) it is compatible to prototype hardware (old circuit (4 MC's of logic))?
2. Whether it is possible in prototype hardware (old circuit (4 MC's of logic)) to add sound support(buzzer)? If yes, as?

You do not need paypal to get new version
Old version is not supported anymore.
Check again schematic of new version (if available) and think again about question about buzzer .....
