AUTOBOOT.HFE vs STARTUPA.HFE

Post by pski »

The latest HxC software seems to be ahead of the released documentation as there are configuration options missing in the docs.

Can someone explain the difference between AUTOBOOT.HFE and STARTUPA.HFE?

Thanks!

The STARTUPA.HFE allows you to automatically load the STARTUPA.HFE image at power up and you can still use the normal mode (browse the sdcard with the lcd + buttons).

the Autoboot.hfe option is for a different purpose : it help select images thanks to a special bootable software when the sdcard is full of images, and it also make the lcd screen optional. this was done atari/amiga/cpc users.
