new and slightly confused but very interested

Hello everyone, my name is Michael, I'm new here.

I was recommended this device as the best way to transfer files with my Amiga 500. I assume most of you agree, otherwise you would not be here .

Anyway, I am slightly confused as to how I can get one of these - is it something that I have to make myself, something I buy from someone else who has made it, or is there an official website which sells these?

Ideally I would like one pre-made completely, as I do not own a soldering iron or have much knowledge of electronics.

Hi ant1.

1. You have to see, that there are 2 versions talked about here:
a. the USB HxC version (needs a server. ex. PC)
b. the SD HxC version (stand alone)

The USB Version is released for 'production' and all required files to make them are available. Some people (including me) have made several of them and sold them ready to run.

The SD version is NOT yet released by Jeff (the developer) for production.
Today, only prototype versions are available to make by yourself.
However, we all expect the release of this version very soon..
Whenever it will be released, I have the plan (if it is still permitted) to
make a batch of these units as well and will also offer just pcb's and ready to run units. But I at least will wait until the official release!

Don't know, if Jeff or someone else has also some plans to make units available..?
