[HFE format] : Any update planned ?

Post by Sugarbox »

Hello there,

As a user of the marvellous HXC, I'll begin this post by some thanks to your great job.
But I'm not just a (happy) user, I'm also involved into the coding of an Amstrad CPC emulator (called Sugarbox, guess it !)

All I wait now is an update of the HFE format, which is very usefull, but lack of a way to handle weak sectors. In fact, it should be the simplest, more complete, and more open format with this kind of feature (through recording more than one revolution on specific track, for example)

Are any new revision of it planned (or, by luck, already realeased ) ?
Be sure that, if this may happen, I'll support it as soon as it will be released !

Regards,

Thomas

This is exactly the kind of hack i don't want to do. Please think about the write support implementation.
