Differences in functionality between regular HxC & STM32+HxC

Post by bjt »

Please could you give me a quick rundown of any differences in functionality between the regular HxC hardware & firmware, compared to the HxC firmware on STM32.

Indexed mode using buttons to move up/down
Dual drive mode
HD/ED density support

Do the above work?

Cheers

Exactly as the Classic HxC.

No dual drive support possible.

HD mode later. I am not sure that the ED mode is possible.

Is the ipf-compatibility already included, when a Gotek with the new STM32-HxC-Firmware is used, or is this not included until now?

Can it support 360KB, 720KB, 1.2MB as well as 1.44MB? How to choose?
