Will this device emulate a 720kb floppy?

Post by palutec »

Howdy,

Will this device allow a compact flash or other "flash" memory device to emulate a 720kb floppy disk? We have several machines on our shop floor that use 720kb floppies for loading data and programs, but the discs are getting harder and harder to find.

Thanks

Hello!
I would like to use this emulator to replace the floppy drives in EDM machines. We install TEAC FD-235HF floppy drives set to 720kb. I have the jumper settings for A and B, but I have heard the jumpers set the reading speed also.
My question is, if there is possibility to set the reading speed?
I can see many possibility in this unit, if it is working in our machines.
I'm also interesting about the price of the unit.
Thank you

Yes the reading speed (bitrate) can be changed.
