Request for HxC_SD_Bootloader_V1_0TOV1_1.upd
Request for HxC_SD_Bootloader_V1_0TOV1_1.upd
Hi everyone,
I've got a Rev B of the SD HxC FD emulator, my firmware is 1.1.1.0 when it boots.
I've read the docs and there is mention of the .upd I need in the subject header, as per:
http://torlus.com/floppy/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=842
Can someone please provide this .upd so I can upgrade my firmware to a new revision?
Once I've upgraded, I will perform the following along with copying a few HFE's
copy/replace HXCSDFE.CFG to your sdcard.
copy AUTOBOOT.HFE to your sdcard.
(Note: it is recommended to copy these 2 files right after having formatted the SDCard)
If your emulator is set as DF0 you must use AUTOBOOT.HFE present in the Emulator_as_DF0 folder.
If your emulator is set as DF1 you must use AUTOBOOT.HFE present in the Emulator_as_DF1 folder.
Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. I've tried to apply the update but I note:Jeff wrote:In your email box !
Red LED light permanently ON state
Orange LED light permanently ON state
Then I get 4 blinks .... 4 blinks .... 4 blinks
HxC_SD_Bootloader_V1_0TOV1_1.upd
is in the root of the SD (I formatted a few hours ago with SD formatter, FAT32, 2Gb, Fujitsu SD card)
Re: Request for HxC_SD_Bootloader_V1_0TOV1_1.upd
format it with windows. If still doesn't work, try another sd.
Re: Request for HxC_SD_Bootloader_V1_0TOV1_1.upd
I've tried a Kodak 64Mb SD, SanDisk 2GB SD, FujiFILM 2Gb SDJeff wrote:format it with windows. If still doesn't work, try another sd.
All same result ... three LED all lit up, none blinking.
I'm in Australia, the Amiga 2000 Floppy cable can only be inserted one way, with the red wire on pin 1 side.
There is a tiny twist in the cable.
FDD power cable is yellow, blue, blue, red and will only connect in that direction.
So I hold down left / right, power on the Amiga 2000, hold for 1-2 seconds, still on version 1.1.1.0
Re: Request for HxC_SD_Bootloader_V1_0TOV1_1.upd
Are you sure that you entered into flash mode ? the lcd should not be initialized.
Re: Request for HxC_SD_Bootloader_V1_0TOV1_1.upd
How do you mean "initialized"?Jeff wrote:Are you sure that you entered into flash mode ? the lcd should not be initialized.
When I hold down left/right then power on, then hold for 1-2 seconds, I get no letters on the LCD screen, only 8 or so square blocks indefinately.
Would be cool if it would say "firmware updating ... "
I've read on another thread that a Kingston SD card worked for another HxC user, so I'll buy one and give it a test...
Re: Request for HxC_SD_Bootloader_V1_0TOV1_1.upd
BTW where and when did you get this old Rev B emulator ?
Re: Request for HxC_SD_Bootloader_V1_0TOV1_1.upd
ebay as new in mid-2011 from lotharek's portal (only place to get them).Jeff wrote:BTW where and when did you get this old Rev B emulator ?
I bought another SDHC card today brand new, this one's a SONY 8GB, FAT32, copied the v1_0tov1.1.upd and same result:
Red LED light hard-on
Yellow LED light hard-on
4 flashes (can't find the .upd) file which is weird.
The Amiga FDD cable can only connect on the motherboard one-way as there is a pin filled in on the cable so you can't swap it.
Re: Request for HxC_SD_Bootloader_V1_0TOV1_1.upd
Im finally making some progress...Jeff wrote:BTW where and when did you get this old Rev B emulator ?
The FDD cable was replaced with a spare which allow me to reverse the cable that connects to the HxC
Now i have the power LED light on, floppy access LED Off, SDcard acces LED Off
Put the SDCard in .... returns "reading FAT..."

Maybe you should ask to Lotharek a bootloader update services for your device.

One question by curiosity : did you used the device in the past or was it in its package since 3 years ?
