Image formatting on target hardware

Post by stevendt »

SD Cased Version

Can the "floppy disk", i.e., the image file, be formatted on the host system using its standard format utility? Under CP/M, the fromat utility writes "E5" to every sector so I can't see why this should not work.

I have seen various posts suggesting that it can't, but this is not mentioned in the manual?

This can be done now. But only as beta tester ;)
There is a new firmware allowing the low level formating.
The firmware is in your email box.
