I have just ordered a Rev C in a black case (can't wait to get hold of it - hopefully, it will be ready soon). I am not 100% sure that it will work with my Memotech FDX system, so this is really to prove the concept - I know that I will be able to use the cased model with my Atari ST and hopefully, my BBC Computer too. However, assuming that I can get it to work with the FDX, I intend to buy a Rev F model and install it in place of one of the 3.5" disk drives.
If you have not seen a Memotech FDX, they are really "cool" looking, built in a black anodized case with minimal logos etc. Unfortunately, I think the Rev F label would spoil the look of the FDX. I know that other users have had similar issues (someone even powder coated his units black).
I would like to ask whether it would be possible to obtain Rev F units with minimal "decoration", ideally, just a matt black finish?
