Scrolling issues

Post by 80sboy »

This is working great with my EII now.

My issue is that even at slowest setting on scroll speed, I still get some "blur" it's a little difficult to read. Is there a way to stop scrolling ?

I've tried every speed setting and it's the same, just a little on the blurry side for me, kind of distracting and difficult to read.

Any suggestions?

thanks!

Yes : Use less than 16 characters for the files name.

Or maybe you (Jeff) could make a firmware for 4x20 character LCDs? Please? Pretty please? With sugar on top?

I don't have 4x20 LCD.
Check this, for example: eBay link
Cost: less than €5.5 at current $/€ rates, with free shipping.
Besides, it works exactly like the 2x16. The code will be exactly the same. The only thing that changes is the length of the strings written to the LCD. You now write 16 characters to two addresses on the LCD, one for the upper line, one for the lower line. On the 4x20, you write 40 characters to each address. The first 20 go to line 1, the remaining 20 go to line 3. On the second address, the first 20 go to line 2, the remaining 20 characters go to line 4. That's all.
