Possible bug in HxC Floppy Drive Emulator Software?

Post by nightson »

Hi I'm dumping an Amiga game called Chip's Challenge. My Samsung SFD-321B /LHSE REV. T6A and SFD-321B /LEB REV. T5 encountered weird bad sectors at different positions in some attempts, while TEAC FD-235HF got good dumps consistently. However, all dumps output ADF images with the same hash. I posted on the Kryoflux forum. Someone told me that all the dumps are good. Is it possible that HxC analyzer made a mistake with the data of those few tracks?

Detailed description on the Kryoflux forum: https://forum.kryoflux.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1590

Thanks!

Did you got some buffering error while you have read/dump the disk ? The stream data is maybe bad...

Kryoflux GUI and dtc didn't report any error.
