SAM Coupe again

Post by yerzmyey »

Hello there!

Recently I managed to buy SAM Coupe but without diskdrives.
I plan to connect there a HxC SD.
My question is - was finally SAM Coupe's system implemented? I mean the format of diskettes and image files.

I have see some work has been started http://torlus.com/floppy/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=412 but I don't know how about its outcome.

Maybe You guyz could shed some light on the problem.

Greetzzzz,
Yerz

PS: What I mean is: I know there has been added -

-> New file Support : SAM Coupé MGT file image support added.
-> New file Support : SAM Coupé SAD file image support added.

but the problem is - most soft is in DSK files. That's mostly what my question is about.

Thx in advance,
Y

These DSK are in RAW format and should be used with the 80tracks * 2sides * 10 sectors MFM format.

You should use the RAW file function :

Hmmm.

All buttons stay inactive. (Except the "Load config" and "cancel").
I have a version 1.5.2.1. It looks in a different way, than Your screenshot.

Do You think I should get the newest one? (My HxC USB is very old, I'm afraid of some incompatibility with the newest PC software...?).

By the way, what does it mean ""FTDI D2XX Driver not installed!" ?

What is funny, with the new version, I managed to force the damn SAM to work. At least at the moment (we will see for how long).
Now I will test the method You mentioned. With RAW.
And will let You know.
Thx,
Y
