Since v1.2.0.11 the software supports D64 format.

So, can I replace the drive inside the 1541 unit by a stand alone emulator?

Is this working?

the c64 need the variable bitrate support. so for now the usb floppy emulator is the only one which could in theory support the c64.
But since i have never tested the D64 support on a real 1541/C64, you can consider it as non working. (that's why it is in an experimental state).

It could only replace the 1581, because the 1541 is a totally different system.

the 1541 should be "supported" too, if you solder some wires directly to its motherboard ;-)

I am also interested in c64 and drives 1541 and 1581.

Does latest software for HxC usb version support d81 files for 1581.

Also does anybody knows how to connect 1541 to HxC, what wires do I need to solder and where?
