Hi folks,
I have an Amstrad PcW 9512+ with a rapidly failing 3.5 inch floppy drive.
I would like to replace this with an HxC Beige cased drive. However the existing drive does not have a power supply and uses a 3inch 26 pin connector rather than a Standard 34 pin one.
I assume the 5v for the drive is provided through this 26pin connector (As opposed to the CPC 3 inch drives which also have a 26 pin connector but utilise a separate power supply)
So the question is... does anyone know if a simple 26 -> 34 pin adaptor can be used, if not which pins also need to be removed and used for the power supply for the HxC?
Regards
Craig
