yes, over this longer way the BigBoard 1 is booting CP/M.
I think, the characteristics in the original BB1.IMD are not identical with the right settings.

these are the settings, which are working currently.

PS: is there a way to modify the data value for the empty sectors when "Create empty floppy"?

Yes : Format Value.
(note : i recommend you to use the v2.6.0.0 software.)

i don't see the difference between this and the imd settings.
Can you send me your non-working HFE file converted from imd and the working imd file ?

At the moment i can't also no differences between the direct and the indirect (over RAW-data) way.
Both work and boot.

PS: At first i don't understand the viewing window in your "visual floppy disk". I have to select the track before i can see the contents.
