Any experiences with Yamaha PSR 2700 ?

Post by Retrofoxy »

I have a old Yamaha PSR 2700. The Diskdrive is dead. Is there a chance to replace the old diskdrive with a HxC SD?
The old diskdrive used old DD diskettes, and another problem is it has no 34pin floppy cable but a "flatcable" (I can take some pictures of it if it helps)
Any experiences with that Keyboard?
Thank you very much.

If you have a flatcable converter, this should work without problem.

Thank you for your answer. unfortunately I can't find a flatcable converter. The Keyboard uses a 24 pin flatcable. I attached a picture. Yamaha sent me a shematics of the FDD connetctor, but I can't figure out how I can build a convertor out of it. Any help? Thank you.

Ok I am really stuck here. Can anyone help me with a adapter there? I even can't find a "24 pin flat cable connector". Are the parts not produced anymore ?
Any ideas if there is a way to fit the HxC in a PSR 2700?
Thank you very much.

a little bit, yes, as long as it does not include any SMD parts ;)
