Switching out FZ-1 Floppy drive with PC drive for dummies

Post by Nathan »

Help as I am the dummy. I have my FZ-1 apart and have replaced the display. Can anyone provide step by step instructions on replacing my original Matsushit drive with my PC Mitsumi D63119 drive? I need help beyond language like "switch WD61 with P12 and cross over the ribbon to port combobulator 127". Is there sites with pictures posted? Thanks

Hi!

Here is a good place to ask for assistance: http://floppy.shugart.free.fr/page.php? ... /index.htm

I tried to modify several Floppy Drives but without success. An alternative solution could be Kryoflux in case that you have damaged disks.
It worked very fine for me. I have saved all my disks even if they had bad sectors.

Best Regards,
