Casio FZ-10 file size issue

Post by cyclotron »

I replaced the broken floppy of my FZ-10 with the Lotharek HXC rev F and it works fine without bugs or anything - great job and thanks for that!!

But there is one issue that bothers me a little bit.

For example: If my .fzf file is 1,9 MB and I convert it to the .hfe format it is around 2,4 MB. To end up with a file that is max. 2 MB after the converting process the .fzf can not be larger than around 1,3 MB. Is that something I have to live with or do I maybe make a mistake when i convert the files?

This is completely normal and ok : The HFE file image store the full tracks in MFM/FM, not only the raw sector data.
