I have a Gotek 3 digit led drive in my Triton Rack. It installed out of the package, with no prep work required. Now I'm thinking that the red display ruins the aesthetics of the Rack, so I would like to replace it with an oled display. I've got the display here just waiting to go. But I'm not sure what I need to do for the upgrade.
There is someone selling drives for the Triton/Rack already modded, with HxC installed. But the price they're asking is insane. I've been reading this guide and I am wondering if this is the way to go? I've already got a usb-a - usb-a cable, so should be good to go.
I just saw on the guide that I need a file hxc_fw_installer.dfu. When I google that, I follow a link to another guide which mentions firmware which needs to be purchased, with another link to an order page. So do I need to buy this firmware to get hold of the hxc_fw_installer.dfu file, or can I get that file free of charge?
