Ive try with the original before put the HxC into the Q80 and same result. But for mounting the HxC into Q80 i needed a floppy ribbon largest cause is not the same like the floppy drive.
The question is: Must I put in On another switch from HxC as the number 1?
Thanks

Javier

Any Q80 Owner who read this may can help me .

Maybe that the floppy drive problem wasn't directly related to the drive itself.
With these 20/30 years old machines, capacitors are becoming more and more prone to failure and the power supplies issues are more and more present with some "funny"/hard to diagnose behaviours. There are already some examples on this forum. That's why i am asking about the old drive.

Have you another machine to test the HxC drive ? (PC or anything else ?)

No :-(

Q80 was the only machine with floppy (now HxC).

It was another reason to change it.

Good News!!!

I've changed pin direction in the floppy ribbon and it works!!!

I can format, save my own file, load and delete it :-)
Thanks for your patience.
Another question is... Can I read and export to my computer these files (what are into the DSKA000x.HFE)?

Thanks again !!!

What ? You mean the floppy ribbon direction ? This floppy ribbon is twisted ?

Yes. The floppy ribbon was one conector to motherboard and two connectors to Floppy emulator. In the begginingI used the the final connector who was a little twisted . But i changed and I used the middle conector ... and it works. So, was the twisted cable.

And...Please. Can I read the content in a .HFE file? I would like to save Midi files from Q80 directly in my computer, reading the SD card

Thanks again.
