Problem with Floppy Disk Dump.

Post by dJ dAb »

I keep getting the following error: "Error during RPM checking :31"

I have my HxC2001 w/SD working in the Mirage but I can't convert my old Mirage floppies on the pc. I have downloaded and installed FDInstall. And, have used 4 different floppy drives w/ different cabling too. btw, I'm on a Windows 7 machine.

Help, Sean

Is the floppy disk drive LED turning on when you try to read the floppy disk ?

You can also try omniflop to check if you hardware setup is ok :

(Is it a x64 or x86 Win 7 ?)

Yup, the LED is coming on when I try to read. Good sign I would think. And, I'm using 32bit Windows 7. So I think that is x86.

I'll try omniflop again too. I think last time I tried it, it showed my floppy and saw it as having 80 track, which would be correct for Mirage.

Hmmmm.

Got it working. It was a problem with my version of FBInstall.
